Introduction on creating content and getting free traffic to your blog or offer by using social media syndication. This is Part One of a simple three part series on using social media syndication with the use of three key elements to not only drive search engine and web 2.0 traffic, but to rank on page one of the search results for a given keyword phrase.
1. Market Research. To find out if there is a niche within that market to generate traffic to your site or offer.
2. Keyword Research: Starting with a broad term like “diet” or “lose weight” for example. Then taking that keyword phrase and drill or narrow it down to 3 to 5 word, keyword phrases like “lose weight for wedding” or “lose weight before wedding”
3. Create backlinks that are all pointing back to your site using Web 2.0 – Social Media – Social Media Syndication or Video, just to name a few. Once you understand the basics of these three key elements. It becomes much easier then what people tend to make this process out to be.
There is of course a right and very wrong way of doing these 3 key elements. As well as an manual way or using tools that put most of this work on Auto-pilot for you.
Market research:
If your looking for ideas or have an idea, either way your still going to want to do this step. This how you’ll see not only if there is a market, but one you can monetize. Start with Amazon. Go to books then magazines. To see if there are any magazines written on the subject you’re interested in. This also works just as well for brainstorming and finding ideas. This can also be done in the book section on Amazon. The other place I recommend is going to; Pulse.eBay.com to see trends and what is selling right now.
Keyword Research:
If you’re new to keyword research then here’s a great place to begin by using the Free Search Term Suggestion Tool at Keyword Discovery. Just do a search for “Keyword discovery search” to find to free tool. Once there just type in a phrase or a market you may be interested in. Then this keyword tool will not only give you a good estimate on how many daily searches are being done for that keyword phase, but is a good place to get some ideas on Markets to look into.
Also a Must Use Tool is “Google’s keyword tool”. Again just do a search this time for “Google keyword tool” and once you’re there. Go ahead and type in a root keyword. An Example of this would be say “dog training” (Without the quotations) Note: Be sure the box for Use synonyms is Checked before clicking Get keyword ideas. This tool will come back with results and different data on what Google finds to be relevant within – dog training -
You then just want to focus on “Global Monthly Search Volume” This is telling you not only how many searches a month are being typed in for dog training, but also for related phrases relating to dog training. This of course can be done for any keyword you are interested in.
Now just copy and paste or write down a couple dozen of the keywords that interest you. Once you have done this. Go ahead and take them one at a time and type then into Google search within quotations “” The reason is to see how competitive these keyword phrases are. (Meaning how many pages or sites have that exact keyword phase in either the Title and or Description. You can see the number of sites Google brings back on the right hand side, it will look something like this:
-> Results 1 – 10 of about 5,030,000 for “dog training”. (0.23 seconds)
