The search engines are looking for quality and not quantity. So focus on getting sites in your niche to give you links. And remember that the way to do this is to build a relationship with the site owners so you can get these links from them.
Secret #2 – Try and rank more then one site in your niche market.
Once you get good at this you can get a massive amount of visitors to your site. What you need to do is start ranking other sites in your niche for the exact same keywords.
That way you will eventually have multiple sites ranked for all the keywords in your niche and you will literally double your traffic.
If you do this the right way you can sometimes get all the rankings on the first page of the search term you are targeting.
